Modular Framing & BeMatrix Systems

Build Faster. Rebrand Instantly. Tour Without Rebuilding.

Modular framing changes how experiential environments get built. Instead of constructing custom walls from scratch for every project and discarding them after, NVS builds on BeMatrix modular aluminum framing — a professional-grade system that assembles in hours, accepts multiple facing materials, and packs flat for transport between tour stops.

The frame is the skeleton. What makes it powerful is what we build on top of it — and we do all of that in-house: facing fabrication, graphic production, LED integration, and assembly.

This is the same system behind the DDN AI Factory Tour expandable trailer, and the upcoming Nathan’s/Yankees double-decker activation launching May 1st. From single-wall installations to multi-level structures, modular framing is how NVS delivers complex builds on compressed timelines.

How BeMatrix Modular Framing Works

BeMatrix is a modular aluminum frame system used in trade shows, touring exhibitions, and high-end experiential environments worldwide. Frames connect without tools, accept interchangeable facing panels, and can be configured into walls, rooms, corridors, enclosures, and multi-level structures.

NVS stocks BeMatrix inventory and handles all design, frame configuration, facing fabrication, graphic production, and on-site assembly in-house. We are not a rental broker — we are the fabricator that builds on the system.

Frame System & Assembly + -

BeMatrix frames are lightweight aluminum extrusions that connect via a proprietary locking mechanism — no bolts, no welding, no specialized tools. A single technician can assemble a 10-foot wall in minutes. Complex room configurations that would take days with traditional scenic construction go up in hours.

Frames come in standard sizes that combine into any configuration. Need a 40-foot wall? A 12×12 enclosed room? An L-shaped corridor with a doorway? It is all the same system, reconfigured.

Glow-Edge LED Integration + -

BeMatrix frames accept LED strip lighting in the frame perimeter — creating backlit edges around every panel. This glow-edge integration adds dimension and visual impact, especially for evening activations, indoor environments, and technology showcases.

We used glow-edge BeMatrix throughout the DDN AI Factory Tour — the LED-lit frame edges create a premium, tech-forward aesthetic that standard scenic walls cannot achieve.

Double-Decker & Multi-Level Structures + -

BeMatrix’s XTREME system supports double-decker builds — two-story structures with configurable staircases, upper-deck VIP areas, and expanded activation footprints. The system is engineered for this: lightweight aluminum construction eliminates the need for cranes or heavy machinery.

NVS is building a double-decker activation for Nathan’s and the Yankees launching May 1st — a multi-level branded environment using BeMatrix framing with custom cladding, graphics, and integrated AV. This is the same structural approach used at major trade shows and brand experiences worldwide, now applied to experiential marketing.

One frame system. Five
facing options. Infinite configurations.

Facing & Cladding Materials

The BeMatrix frame is the structure. What you see is the facing — and NVS fabricates all facing materials in-house. The choice of cladding depends on your activation: how long it runs, whether it travels, how fast graphics need to change, and what level of finish the brand requires.

SEG Fabric

Silicone-edge printed fabric panels that slide directly into BeMatrix frame channels. This is the fastest-change option — swap graphics in minutes without tools. Pull one fabric panel out, slide the new one in. Done.

SEG fabric is machine-washable, reusable across campaigns, and produces seamless full-bleed graphics with virtually no visible frame. Ideal for touring activations where branding changes between markets, or trade shows where the booth reconfigures between events.

NVS prints all SEG fabric in-house on our dye-sublimation printers — exact Pantone matching, custom sizes, and turnaround measured in days.

MDF Panels

Medium-density fiberboard — rigid, smooth, and paintable. MDF facing delivers a solid, permanent feel that fabric cannot replicate. Ideal for walls, counters, architectural elements, and surfaces that need to support mounted objects (screens, shelving, signage).

We CNC-cut MDF panels to exact frame dimensions, prime, paint, or wrap them with vinyl graphics before mounting. The result looks and feels like permanent construction — but it disassembles in minutes and reassembles identically at the next location.

Luan

Lightweight plywood facing for large wall surfaces and scenic flats. Luan is the go-to when you need rigid panels across a wide area but weight matters — touring builds, elevated structures, and installations where load limits apply.

We print directly on luan, wrap it with vinyl, or paint it to finish. It accepts all the same graphic treatments as MDF at a fraction of the weight.

Sintra (Expanded PVC)

Smooth, durable, lightweight, and moisture-resistant. Sintra panels are excellent for graphic-wrapped surfaces, dimensional signage, and environments that need to survive multi-city tours, outdoor activations, or humid venues. We CNC-cut sintra to frame dimensions and apply printed vinyl or direct UV printing for finished graphics.

Hybrid & Specialty Cladding

Most builds combine materials. A BeMatrix wall might use SEG fabric panels for the main graphic area, MDF for a section that holds a mounted screen, and acrylic for a backlit logo element — all on the same frame system. We also face frames with DIBOND, plexiglass, faux-brick, reclaimed wood, and custom materials based on the creative brief.

What You Can Build With Modular Framing

Modular framing is not limited to flat walls. Here is what NVS builds on BeMatrix systems:

Scenic walls and backdrops — single or multi-panel walls for events, photo moments, and branded environments

Enclosed rooms and corridors — walk-through experiences, meeting rooms, and multi-zone activations

Double-decker structures — two-story builds with stairs, upper lounges, and expanded footprints

Retail environments — modular pop-up stores and product display walls that reconfigure between locations

Vehicle interiors — modular wall systems inside expandable trailers and glass trucks that allow rapid graphic swaps on tour

Trade show booths — 10×10 to 50×50+ configurations with storage, AV, and meeting spaces

Temporary walls and flats — room dividers, scenic flats, and space-shaping elements for venues and events

Why Modular Framing Over Traditional Scenic

Traditional scenic fabrication means building custom walls from lumber for every project, painting or wrapping them, installing them once, then discarding them. Modular framing changes the math:

Faster build times — structural assembly in hours, not days. The DDN expandable trailer interior was framed in under a day.

Rapid graphic changes — swap SEG fabric panels between events in minutes. No reprinting the wall. No refabrication.

Touring capability — frames pack flat, ship in standard road cases, and reassemble identically at every stop. A build that fills a 38-foot trailer packs into a fraction of that space for transport.

Reusability — aluminum frames last through hundreds of assemblies. You invest once in the frame system and only change the skin for each campaign.

Scalability — add or remove sections to adapt the footprint for different venues. A 20-foot wall today becomes a 40-foot wall next week with more frames.

Sustainability — dramatically less material waste than build-and-discard scenic construction. The frame is permanent; only the graphics change. Learn about our sustainable production approach.

Modular Framing FAQs

Do you rent BeMatrix frames or build custom? + -

We do both. NVS stocks BeMatrix inventory for projects that use standard configurations. For custom builds, we design the frame layout, fabricate all facing materials, produce graphics, and assemble on-site. We are the fabricator — not a rental broker.

How fast can a modular structure be assembled? + -

Simple wall configurations assemble in under an hour. Complex multi-room or double-decker builds typically take 4-8 hours for frame assembly, plus time for facing, graphics, and AV integration. Traditional scenic builds for the same scope would take days.

Can I change the graphics between events? + -

Yes — that is the core advantage. SEG fabric panels slide in and out of the frame channels without tools. MDF and sintra panels attach with Velcro or clips and swap in minutes. Your structure stays the same; only the skin changes.

Can modular framing support a second level? + -

Yes. BeMatrix XTREME systems are engineered for double-decker builds with configurable staircases and upper-deck environments. NVS is building a double-decker activation for Nathan’s/Yankees launching May 1st using this exact system.

Is modular framing more cost-effective than custom scenic? + -

For one-time builds, costs are comparable. For anything that tours, reconfigures, or repeats across events, modular framing is significantly more cost-effective because the frames are reused and only the facing/graphics change. Over 3+ events, the savings compound.

Do you handle everything — frames, facing, graphics, AV, install? + -

Yes. NVS handles the complete scope: frame design and configuration, facing fabrication (MDF, luan, sintra, SEG), graphic production, AV integration, on-site assembly, and strike. One team, one facility. Request a quote.
