Danhausen “Very Nice, Very Evil” Freeze Tour — ESPN x WWE SummerSlam

Danhausen “Very Nice, Very Evil” Freeze Tour — ESPN × WWE SummerSlam

A branded food truck tour built for ESPN and WWE around SummerSlam in Minneapolis, fronted by WWE’s Danhausen. NVS handled design, fabrication, culinary R&D, production and tour logistics end to end, in partnership with our agency partner Lerange Agency.

This one pulled three of our disciplines into a single activation: vehicle fabrication and wrap, sculptural prop work, and in-house culinary development. That combination is the reason it could be delivered by one team on one schedule — the truck, the sculpture, the popsicles and the tour routing did not move between vendors.

The Truck

A full commercial wrap in Danhausen’s red, black and white, carrying ESPN and WWE branding, the SummerSlam Minnesota dates, and the “Very Nice, Very Evil Freeze Tour” lockup across the service side.

The centrepiece is the sculpted Danhausen head mounted on the roof. We designed and sculpted the likeness in-house, carved it, hard-coated it for road and weather durability, and engineered the mount so it could travel between stops. The face continues onto the vehicle itself — eyes applied across the windshield, a grinning mouth built onto the front — so the truck reads as the character from every angle.

The Popsicles

We developed the frozen program from scratch rather than sourcing it. Two flavours were formulated for the tour: a spicy Tajín mango and a sweet lemonade. Recipe development, testing and production all ran through our own licensed commissary.

Across the tour we produced more than 6,000 popsicles — enough to serve continuously across four public stops without a resupply gap.

The Spin Wheel

A custom prize spin wheel, fabricated in-house and finished to match the truck, gave the activation a second interaction point and kept queues engaged while service ran.

The Tour

Four stops across SummerSlam weekend in Minneapolis:

  • Day one — public stop. Danhausen appeared with his Minihausens. The Mayor of Minneapolis came by for a popsicle and swapped shoes with Danhausen on site.
  • Day two — Boys & Girls Club of Minneapolis. Service for the club’s members.
  • Minneapolis Convention Center. Parked for an in-house WWE event.
  • U.S. Bank Stadium. On site for SummerSlam itself.

The truck picked up significant organic coverage across the weekend, including local news and Danhausen’s own channels.
